Wisent

There was one wisent (European bison) living in the Pleistocene Park. It was brought from Prioksko-Terrasny reserve in 2011. We have future plans to bring more wisent to the Pleistocene Park. Over the course of living in the Park our wisent showed its ability to live in the severe conditions of the far north. It was not very picky on food but has a rather aggressive attitude towards other animals. It passed away in the spring of 2022.
